2016 Umpires Decision Chardonnay
The lightly oaked style means the oak sits in the background and adds a char/smoky element. Lovely bright yellow/green colour. The aromas are in the citrus/tropical spectrum. A young wine, so plenty of primary fruit. The palate has good weight, alcohol and glycerol, and a long finish. Although subtle oak, it’s there and will integrate with the pineapple/mango fruit with further age.

Reviews
The Umpires Decision label was originally created for wines made with fruit from other regions after we lost our crop in the 2009 bushfires. We source a Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon each year, which are made as delicious everyday drinks. Each year the decision is made where the grapes will come from. Our thoughts
