Beechworth Sangiovese 2024

The 2024 vintage presents a noticeably deeper and more sophisticated bouquet than recent previous vintages. While the familiar core of bright cherry and red fruits remains, it is now layered with earthy complexity. Notes of wild herbs and fresh mint and a rustic, savory sweaty leather note adds depth. A refined, medium-bodied wine, it has a little more weight and structure compared to the "cherry bombs" of the last three years. Long, savory tannins provide a firm grip, carrying the fruit through to a persistent, dry finish.
